This month Petaluma City in California is preventing new gas stations from being built. Instead, they are looking to the future and the need for more electric charging stations. Near where I live there is a charging station and I see people in their electric cars reading, napping, or watching shows while they wait inside their cars. They are charging their cars and recharging their own batteries. I’m envisioning a place where you can get a cup of coffee or tea at a cafe, work out in the attached gym, shop in the store or market, eat and work in the on-site restaurant—all while you wait for your car to charge.
