How can I contribute and help my fellow remote worker? This is an easy question to answer. Let us help you help others which also helps us. (I think there should have been a comma or two there.) Seriously, what we are trying to do is build a virtual place (for now) where remote workers can turn to for advice, support, encouragement, relaxation, recommendations, escape, and fun. To do this, we need help. If you want to provide content, teach a class, be a leader of a club or group, write a review, be a part of the advisory board, or offer your services to our (future) members, send in ideas to improve the site, we want that, too. Just reach out and let's put our heads to find a way to create a win / win / win way to help one another. (The third win is the person who visits the site and benefits from our partnership.)

Where did the idea for Remote Worker Resource come from? This deserves a long answer, but I doubt anyone would rewad it if I went into it in detail. Ah, what the heck, here's the long answer anyway. Three things happened when Covid hit. The first was my main source of income (speaking at conferences) dried up . . . completely. The second thing that happened was the kids were forced to attend their classes using Zoom, from home. Lastly, my wife was promoted and the position went from being a 9-5 office job to a remote one. What came out of it was my need to figure out what to do next. I had a long list of business ideas—and even chose a different one and created a logo and business plan for it—but kept coming back to helping remote workers. It felt right (you know that pit-of-the-stomach feeling you get when something is good) and it was right (it made sense). While putting Remote Worker Resource together I noticed something. Helping my kids learn remotely led me to some really cool tools that helped them get comfortable, stay focused, and study better. In many cases, I bought these same tools for my wife and I to use, too. I knew I wanted to let others know about what we bought and use and do it in a "Consumer Reports" way—I'm not paid to push anything. Lastly, working across from my wife at various times during the day I realized something I missed when she had a corporate office—she is amazing. I was blown away at how good she is at her job (human resources). Since she had never worked from home before, I took great pride in helping her settle in working from home, do it effectively, and learn to love it. Sorry you asked? The bottom line (which should have been at the top) is my whole life has been building up to this project. I'm so excited, I just can't hide it. (Yeah, I went there.)

Are there any photos of Lee's home office?

What do you need help with?Content! We need content more than anything. Photos, articles, posts, stories, infographics, recipes, games, reviews, and things we can give away. You get the credit and we'll promote the heck out of this site so you also get the exposure. You don't have to be a professional writer, photographer, or blogger (is there such a thing?) We want real life stories, photos, advice, recommendations, and reviews. The more honest and authentic the better.

Does Lee have his own website?Yes. You can learn more about Lee at: http:/www.leesilber.com

Does Lee do interviews?Absolute-Lee. Lee has given over 1,700 interviews for radio, television, and print. He always makes the time to talk to reporters, writers, and talk-show hosts—in part, because he has been in each of those roles himself.

Where does Lee live?Lee lives in a three-bedroom beach house in San Diego, steps from the sand, but small (for a family of four). One of the bedrooms is a dedicated office (with a view of the bay) but the family has found creative ways to create spoace for everyone to work comfortably and (mostly) privately.
