The reason Silber started Remote Worker Resource was to help others working from home and finding it challenging. With 25 years experience of having a home office, and a family of four all working and learning remotely, it made sense.
Home Is Where The Work Is
There's a lot more to this story, but this is the gist of it.
For over 25 years I've maintained a dedicated home office which has served me well. I've written 26 books in the space, built a consulting company there, and took many a nap in my special place–and why not, on school days I was home alone. Then Covid hit.
As a popular presenter (before March of 2020) I traveled all over the country to speak. Now I was office bound.
Due to the pandemic, my wife's job was eliminated . . . but she was promoted (whew) and would now work from home.
With two sons learning remotely, they both needed space to attend online classes—with one son insisting that my office helped him get better grades. Whatta ya gonna do?
So where am I going with all this? The point I'm trying to make is, I get it. Heck, I'm living it. As I search for ways to make working remotely work, I aim to share everything I learn with you, and I hope you'll share your ideas and insights with me (so I can pass them along).
